Hi Tek – Hi Teknology 2: The Chip

My coverage on anything Hip Hop or R&B music is awful. My girlfriend would be the first to say, but my music collection is in dire need of diversification. You have rock, rawk, blip, bleeps, and lounge-core. It has been lagging especially since my friend Dan the Homeboy changed offices , because he was my hook up. This post will make Dan the Homeboy proud. Hi-Tek (Tony Cottrell) is from Cincinnati, OH and is known from his work w/Talib Kweli and Mos Def. He is on Babygrande Records now because he was unsatisfied with his last label and their lack of effort to promote any of his material . Babygrande is home to Purple City, Jedi Mind Tricks, Army of the Pharaohs, 7L & Esoteric, and Jean Grae. Hi Teknology 2 is the sequel to Hi Tek’s first album and should be his best to date.
