Movie Review – Trust the Man

This new indie couple date flick defies all odds by not being as bad as I thought. I think what gets me is that most movies of this caliber are predictable and blase in terms of stereotypes. The most important one being that the movie takes place in New York. How many romantic comedies must I endure where it seems live only exists in Manhattan. I have to be honest with myself. I can’t hold it in anymore. I love Miss. Gyllenhaal. Ever since I saw her in “Secretary.” She looks like the girl next door, but she just has this spark that I could gets lost in for days. Usually when I see David Dachovny in a movie, I want to punch him in the neck. This movie he was able to show that he has personality. I have never seen him attempt this in any movie, so I’m hoping this a new direction in his career. Trailer
