World Trade Center

Oliver Stone’s newest movie, not as controversial as previous biopics, stirs up several emotions with the gripping story of Port Authority officials dealing with the 9-11 tragedy. Going into the movie I already had this biased point of view that this movie was going to suck. How many times did we see the 9-11 coverage and how many movies will Hollywood make to recount different points of view of the movie. Maybe if they made a movie with the point of view of the terrorist, the cop, the firemen, and an actual business worker from one of the towers, that maybe interesting. However, Oliver Stone did the movie justice reminding everybody what is was like with the most intricate details and by not making a fluff picture. The movie was very emotional and had me clinging to my seat the entire 2 hours. Even though Nicolas Cage was stuck in rubble for a great deal of the movie, his performance was very believable and not distracting. Lastly, at this current time on www.rottentomatoes.com the movie is at a 71% approval rating, making this movie a fresh offering.
