Denver Underground Music Showase Part II of III -Born in the Flood

The second of three acts that I caught was Born in the Flood. This veteran act in the local scene has been championed outside of the city for quite some time. They have carved a name for themselves visa vie SXSW and Mania TV (local internet TV station) and countless local shows. Their lyrics are very catchy and witty with a Ted Leo sound plus an astounding amount of conviction. They had the crowd under their spell, although I couldn’t understand why. Maybe their album is better, but I just didn’t see what their draw or understood their sound. Maybe I would have liked them better if I was familiar w/their music. You decide.
