Wow, did anybody really watch this. I could only watch 5 mins of this, cuz after that I dont think anybody could take anymore of Diddy’s self promoting. I think it’s great that he is carrying a torch for B.I.G. but come on, let the man rest in peace. And what was going on with all the water works, geez….have a little tact, after all, there is like probably the biggest hurricane that is going to make landfall in Nawlins as we speak…I didnt stick around to watch all of it, there was a new episode of Entourage…and to my understanding Kelly Clarkson had the best performance of the night, and Hammer, WOW, I thought that guy died, no seriously…

Punk music at one point in time was very anti establishment and stood for something. Nowadays it seems like there is not much thought or emotion when lyrics are put together in a 2:30 mins song. Most of the music that gets airplay on Mtv or Fuse are bands like My Chemical Romance or Fallout Boy. It feels like not much creativity goes behind the band, and more emphasis is put on the presentation of the group as oppose to the substance…..
This past Friday I was invited to a local punk show at the Ogden, and I for one am totally for supporting local music. I broadened my horizons because I despise this new form of punk that has mutated into what we have now. Seeing the two bands Love Me Destroyer and The Dropskots further reinforced my belief on what has gone wrong with this kind of music. The direction has taken a turn for the worse. I think it’s great that these kids are out there trying there best on stage, but I believe that there should be some level of professionalism should be present. As a result when they came on stage I was not able to take the band serious and disregarded them immediately. A lot of the songs are a mess of empty words with litte or no audience. Needless to say, I had a great time because of present company, but the experience has narrowed my show viewing pleasures…
